Rights of data subjects

Upon request, we will be happy to inform you whether and what personal data is stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), in particular about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the types of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the presence of a right to complain, the origin of your data, if it has not been collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling.

You also have the right to have any incorrect personal data concerning your rectified or incomplete data completed (Art. 16 GDPR).

Furthermore, you have the right to demand that we restrict the processing of your data, provided the legal prerequisites for this are met (Art. 18 GDPR). You can receive personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or request transmission to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR).

In addition, you have the so-called “right to be forgotten”, meaning that you can request the deletion of your personal data from us, provided that the legal requirements are met (Art. 17 GDPR). Regardless, your personal data will be automatically deleted by us if the purpose of data collection has ceased to exist or if data processing has been carried out unlawfully.

In accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. Therefore, based on this consent, we may no longer continue the data processing.

Cookies

We use cookies or similar technologies to analyze customer behavior, manage the website, track users’ movements, and collect user information. This is done to personalize and improve your experience with us. A cookie is a tiny text file stored on your computer. Cookies store information that allows websites to function. Only we can access the cookies created by our website. You can control your cookies at the browser level. However, if you disable cookies, you may be unable to use certain features.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Necessary cookies – These cookies are essential for using important website features, such as logging in. These cookies do not collect any personal data.

Functional cookies – These cookies provide features that make the use of our service more convenient and allow for the provision of personalized features.

Analytics cookies – These cookies are used to track the usage and performance of our website and services.

You can remove cookies stored on your computer through your browser settings. Alternatively, you can control some third-party cookies using a privacy enhancement platform like optout.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com. For more information about cookies, please visit allaboutcookies.org.

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on our website. Google has its own privacy policy, which you can view here. If you want to opt out of tracking by Google Analytics, visit the Google Analytics opt-out page.

1. Online marketing/analysis tools

The tracking measures we use are based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, § 15 para. 3 TMG. With the tracking measures we use, we want to ensure that our website is designed to meet users’ needs and is continually optimized. We also use tracking measures to record our website’s use statistically and evaluate and optimize our internet presence. As mentioned above, these interests are to be considered legitimate within the provision’s meaning.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A.; “Google”), for customizing and continuously optimizing our websites. In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created, and cookies (see also section 5) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), the hostname of the accessing computer (I.P. address), and time of the server request, is transmitted to a Google server in the U.S.A. and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the website’s use, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website and internet use for market research and customization of these websites. These purposes also represent our legitimate interest in the data processing. The legal basis for the benefit of Google Analytics is § 15 Abs. 3 TMG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

This information may be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will your I.P. address be merged with other data from Google. The I.P. addresses are anonymized, so an assignment is impossible (so-called I.P. masking).

The data we send and link with cookies, user I.D.s (e.g., User-ID), or advertising I.D.s are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.

For more information on terms of use and privacy, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

You can prevent the installation and storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your I.P. address) and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Alternatively, to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, preventing future data collection when visiting this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. The opt-out cookie applies only in this browser and only to our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Google AdWords / Conversion Tracking

We also use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, within Google AdWords, the conversion tracking feature. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service provided by Google. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is placed on your device. These cookies expire after 30 days, do not contain personal data, and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can see that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie, so there is no way that cookies can be tracked across AdWords customer websites. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. In this process, customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information allowing them to identify users personally. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for using Google AdWords/Conversion Tracking is § 15 para. 3 TMG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Suppose you want to avoid participating in track. In that case, you can opt out of this use by preventing the installation of cookies from the “googleadservices.com” domain through a corresponding setting of your browser software (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. This allows the information you have visited on our website to be forwarded to Google+. We want to point out that as our website provider, we do not know the content of the transmitted data or its use by Google+. Google says no personal data is collected without clicking on the plugin. However, while you are logged in to your Google+ account, data, including the I.P. address, is collected and processed. To prevent such data transmission, log out of your Google+ account before visiting our website. This informs LinkedIn that you have visited our website. If you are logged in to your LinkedIn account, clicking the LinkedIn button allows the visit to our website to be directly associated with your profile. Even if you do not have a profile, it cannot be excluded that LinkedIn will store your I.P. address. We want to point out that we, as the website provider, do not know the content of the transmitted data or its use by LinkedIn. For more information about LinkedIn’s privacy policy, please visit https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
